so i recently bought a 2001cav z24 and it has a problem with shutting off while im at red lights or at stop signs or even if i give it a rev and also it acts like it does not have any power through the lower gears until about 2500 RPM then it proceeds to drive nice also this mostly only happens when im in second gear the missing/power lose also i have checked for vacuum leaks none cleaned the throttle body replaced the IAC valve map sensor the map sensor hose also changed the throttle positioning sensor as well now thats what i did to the motor and just yesterday had a high flow cat put on thought maybe it was a bad cat but turned out not to be the problem is still there putting new o2 sensors into it tonight or tomorrow night but also before it stalls it will shoot the RPM up to about 1500 or alittle higher from my regular 900-800 idling speed but then it will drop them to like 500 and then back up to 1500 or higher and stall out but it does start right back up but sometimes after i start it back up it will do the same thing again till i give it some gas to keep it running please help im wasting money and nothing is working

This is what issue I had too. Or i should say am still having, I have done everything you have as well as o2s. Can't find a fix for it yet. let me know what you find.
i have found nothing at all even had my alternator checked out to see what the problem may be, but i have no idea still im thinking maybe i got a bad TPS cause the one that was on the car was broken and bad but when i changed it, it still did the same thing im going to do a fuel pressure test on it, because when i have the car on and its idling i can take the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator and it will smooth out the idle. but then when i out it back on, the vacuum line, it will shut off. the car runs like it wants to hesitate when you like floor it or in low rpms until the throttle body opens up about half way then it will cut loose. so if you may have and oipinon to what it may be thats what i have found on my car ive had it to 3 diffrent garages and they all say that its super weired and they have no idea whats wrong with it
