i have a 95 cavalier with the 2.2, i purchased it and it wasnt running at the time and was told it was the coil packs, well i replaced both coil packs and plug wires and plugs and am having issues not only with what wire goes where on the plugs but also when i actually have it running the motor shakes back and forth and when you go to rev it up slowly it still shakes and the motor rocks back and forth.

i have wired the plug wires from the coil packs to the plug wires several ways ive put the 1 wire on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3 and 4 on 4 and even if you switch the 4 and the one around it will still start and run but no matter which way you wire them the motor still rocks back and forth and acts like its missing.

at first all it would do was crank and crank and crank and never fire so dad loosend the rocker arms a little and it finally would start and then while it was running tightened them individually but still never could get that shake or stumble out of it.

any help would be appreciated.
