Ok so long story short. i havnt posted here since sep 2010.. i sold my black 98 sunfire. i now have a 96 sunfire with the older motor.. its a standard and i got it for cheap, 20$ to be exact. anyway the reason i got it for so cheap is that its burned up. the feller who owned it before me had it runnin, i seen it runnin. white smoke was comin out of it bad, but it ran good, after that he drove it with no anti freeze and burned her up. i need to know what to buy to get this beast on the road agian. i think its the clyinder heads burned up, or head gasket gone. this car is just like my old sunfire 2 door coupe, black with tinted windows. it just had a brand new clutch installed before she burned up. any help guys?

depending what you want to do with the car, DD/Modify/whatever else you can think of, you could be better off finding a different motor and swapping parts. Really can't say until you get into the motor otherwise its just guessing. could just be a head gasket, but you said he ran it hot so you might open it up to find scored cylinders and other surprises.

ill open it up in the spring, i cant even see the car in the back yard now weres theres so much snow. over 150cm's so far the year. ill be jjust usin the car as a beater, the body is in rough shape and so is the paint. transmission shifts smooth and is a good little car, just needs to open her up in the spring wen im able to get at her
