I have been through a few pages now and have saw multiple post about idle problems but yet i still haven't been able to figure mine out.
Intake gasket, TPS , and MAP sensor are brand new
I have a vacuum gauge in my car and vacuum acts fine and there isn't a vacuum leak anywhere.
Does anyone else have any suggestions? Only other two things I can think of that it could be is the Idle Air control valve or the air charge temp sensor, if i unplug both of them, idle does not change what so ever. Any help is appreciated!
can't see an air temp sensor increasing idle that much. I think data from that sensor would effect fuel trim; rather than to cause a high idle. IAC seems more likely.
if you can view data stream; intake air temp should be close to ambient temp and coolant temp when the car has been off and the engine is cold.
the iac counts should be between 15 and 55 and should change....higher counts from cold start up to smaller counts when warmed up... thermostat open conditons.
how would i view data stream?
Just for @!#$sn giggles check the idle adjustment screw on yout tb. Since you had things apart it could have been bumped or adjusted. On my ohv cav the screw was frozen in the tb. But when I first got my eco it could be adjusted by finger because it wasn't seized up. Thats what caused my idle issue once and can easily be overlooked.
I actually just looked at that today and looked like it was messed with before i had the car...its a tamper bit torx head...but the damn thing is stripped out!!!
When it started idling high though i didn't have it apart anytime around that

scan tool...if you have access to one.
without it; it's all guesswork
I'm actually in college at UNOH and do...haha..i just have to wait till i have my electronics 2 class or a buddy that is in it to do it
Try with the engine running, tap the iac motor with a hammer or screwdriver handle. Don't break it though. See if it reacts. Also, run it with the intake duct off and plug the throttle. This will let you know if you have an external leak. Or smoke the intake. Same thing...smoke is better.
