lately my car has been producing buzzing sound in the lower/mid range rpms upon acceleraion. at idle it's fine
the buzzing is coming from engine manifold/lower header pipe.
any ideas what could be causing this??
forgot to add the sound only appears when the car is in gear. in neutral it's fine...
I have the 2.2 vin4, but I have the 5-speed, I have a ticking or slow claking when turning to the right in gear sometimes.
Sometimes I also hear this low buzzing tone when accelerating like when going from a 25mph zone to a 45.
I recently had a new muffler and pipe at muffler installed, and a new flex pipe welded in at the front.
What about a bad vacuum line, pulley, or the tensioner?
Could any of these make a rather low tone buzzing sound that only lasts about 1 to 3 seconds as the car accelerates sometimes?
The purge canister? The IAC?
