okay, the lowdown. 2005 ecotec motor. probalby 25k on the milage boosted with a small turbo. as much as the car has sit its barely seen much boost at all. safe tune. not driven hard when its driven at all. car sat for about 4 months before being pulled out for world of wheels. at first fuel pressure was fluctuating badly and the idle was going back and forth, almost as if you were sitting there and hitting the gas then letting off, hitting the gas then letting off. getting on the gas a bit the car was sputtering a bit. it would still accelerrate but was jerky. then the smoke started. so i limped it to the show basically. when you were sitting at a light. hardly no smoke. push on the gas to accellerate and smoke starts coming out. start as just a little bit. was cold out so thought it was that at first, then noticed it more. you could still get up to speed okay and once you were at a set speed and not accelerating the smoke would ease up. got to the show. blah blah. left the show a few days later. the idle and fuel issue seemed to have gone away. it was idling fine. but then the smoke was getting worse and worse. hit the gas and big puffs of it. seemed to be white. im positivie it wasnt blue and wasnt oil. wasnt black. just white. smelled as if something was like burning. cracked head gasket possibly?

I'll take a guess being I am a 1st gen guy.I would check your oil level(I assume you did) and under your oil cap for milkshake goop, and even your overflow resevoir for discolored antifreeze. If all is ok,do a compression test on each cylinder.Could be it sitting for several months top end not lubed could be sticking valves or valve stem seals or burnt valve.I would check these items and change your oil and filter and go from there. The white smoke could be from the valves not a hg if no signs like I stated before.Do a compression test to see if with in specs. That is what comes to mind a car sitting for months can do this and the smoke over driving a few days will go away once anything inside gets back into a normal use function. It could be none of the above but, figured this might help.Unless the intake could be leaking checking that gasket might be a good idea for oil,or antifreeze.
Yeah first place id look is the oil cap. pull it off and if there is white frothy goop on the bottom... oil mixing with coolant. next place would be to change your oil and either get an oil scan kit or you might see the milkshake running out.
Nice correction. At least the fuel issue is easy enough I guess.
