2000 2.2 oil pressure light coming on at speed

I suspect a bad sender or maybe bad wiring from the sender but what do you think?

Yesterday I was on my way home and the oil pressure light came on when I was cruising at about 60. There was no change in the engine sound but I shut it off and pulled onto the shoulder immediately. I checked the oil level after a minute and there was plenty, I always keep it near the top of the Full area. Seeing that I had oil in the pan I cranked the engine over and it started normally, no light, no funny $ounds so I pulled out and drove a few more miles. The light came on again about five minutes later but this time I pushed in the clutch and revved the engine up about 4K and the light went out and stayed out for a few miles. The next time it came on I pushed in the clutch and shut then engine off then restarted it while rolling, no more light until I got home and shut it off.

I haven't seen the light come on at low speeds or under high load, only while cruising at 50-60mph. I'm hoping it's the sender not the pump because I'm about to sell this car and I don't want it to be a crap bomb for the next owner. 200,000 on the car and it's still rust free and doesn't burn oil, leak or snoke, maybe 1/2 a qt in a 5,000 synthetic oil change. AND it gets 34-36mpg so I hope it isn't dying.

This is the 2000 2.2 2200 OHV engine with about 200,000mi, synthetic oil and good filters for at least the last 100,000mi.

Thanks for any input.

my 2.2 did the same thing and my daughters 2.4 did it too. her's also sprung a leak and dumped most of the oil.

Oil pressure sender is likely it.
