rocker arm on ln2, how do i adjust them?
Saturday, May 26, 2012 10:17 AM
i drive a 2002 cav with the ln2 2200 and auto trans, at cold start after it runs for a second and the rpms come down there is a slight tick from under the valve cover. when the car warms up is less noticeable but if your under the hood and give it gas to about 2000k rpm and the rpms start to drop you can hear it then also.. i guess my question is how do i adjust the rocker arms. im assuming its just loose? any advice would be helpful

not sure about the 2200, but on the older 2.2 there is no adjustment. you tighten it down till it stops.

i just found that out, pulled the valve cover off and they can not be adjusted, also i noticed that one of my rockers took about 10 to 12 seconds to start oiling.. so could this be a lifter noise im hearing?
