Hi, guys. New to this forum, but i've lurked here and read some topics in the past. Girlfriends car is hesitating really bad and the check engine light is flashing. Took it to advance, they checked the code for us and it said that we have a misfire on cylinder 1. Changed all plugs, wires, and ignition coil...still hesitating. The #1 cylinder spark plug had a strong gasoline smell to it and it was slightly wet, but the rest of the plugs looked fine. Thought it might be a faulty injector so I ran to the scrapyard and swapped the injector out, but it's still having the same issue. When I took the air intake hose off of the throttle body, I noticed some oil buildup in the hose and leading to the throttle body. The oil also has a strong gasoline smell. I'm beginning to think it's an electrical issue where the computer is not telling that injector to function correctly. Just curious if anybody else has had a similar problem and could offer some advice.
Also forgot to mention...it's a 01 Sunfire 2.2 with auto transmission, AC, cruise, and power locks.
