are re-manufactured water pumps any good?

When I replaced my coolant I had to replace my water pump also because it started leaking shortly after. Should I have bought a new on instead of the drive-works Re-manufactured one that was 15.99?


2002 Chevy Cavalier Coupe 2200 SFI 5SPD Manual with 91450 miles.
Oil changed: 89616 miles with Amsoil 5w30 Signature Series and Amsoil oil filter.

Meh....no worries. They are usually fine. On the 2200 they are a easy change. If it was something like the 2.4 id say go oem

for $10 more you could have had a new pump and not had to go back to return the core.

But I wouldn't go change it now or anything like that.

I think when i had my 2200, it was $18 for a water pump and only 3 bolts.... those were the days.
