clutch "scraping" noise only when engaging

so, my 99 Z24 with LD9 makes an odd clutch noise. its some sort of..scraping noise. It only does it when its in gear and you let out on the clutch. then its as if something is scraping against something only as you let the clutch out. once its all the way out it sounds fine. it does make the noise slliigghhttlyy when its in neutral and you let the clutch out just a little bit. anybody have something similar to this? also, where the 2 lines come out of the transmission, the 1 that goes to the slave cylinder feels loose because it moves in and out easily...

This christmas it will be 2 years ago. also, i replaced the motor cuz it had a spun bearing. the motor i bought for it was supposubly from a 96 sunfire. i never saw the motor out of the car. i helped pull it 1/2 out then i had to work. next time i saw it, it was 1/2 in. my buddy said they used the better looking clutch out of the 2....since then, ive done about 7 2.4 swaps. so pulling the motor wpuldnt be too hard. that was the 1st motor swap me or my buddy did. and he didnt do good....he left the egr @!#$ on it but i swapped manifolds and he had an antifreeze line running to the brake booster....i fixed it all before it was ever started though. i was thinking about pulling it out anyways just to double check stuffas to be sure. but now, that noise is the only problem...so id rather know what the problem is before i dig into it
