I replaced that temp. sensor housing because it cracked on the rim and coolant was gushing out everywhere and my engine bay got so dirty that i decided to give it a wash after i replaced the temp. housing....

I did cover up my alternator and battery along with disconnecting it.

Now im getting P0113 and P0742. I got this 2000 Cavalier LS auto. from my dad a while back at 170k, now its a 230k....the car ran fine before i changed the temp. housing...now its going into drive very hard.

I was reading that p0742 was because of tranny fluid level? My dad tells me he dont remember servicing that before which is scary.

For the p0113 i read it was due to the IAT sensor or poor ground, so i replaced it, reset the ECU and now trac off and the MIL come back less than a mile. When trac off comes on i get a pending CEL P0113...Checked my scanner and its says the Air Intake temp is -40º, im guessing that is wrong leading me to think its a poor ground?

If anyone can confirm this i would appreciate that...thanks!
