Changing computer, possible security issues?

So, due to a mishap with an unusually tall curb my sunflower took some damage to the front corner, the wiring harness was hanging down, crushed the engine mount, broken plastic, etc.
I tied the wires back up after my little mishap not realizing that they had caused the computer to come loose, as i was driving home i heard something dragging so i pulled into a parking lot where i then ran over my own computer and pulled some wires out of the plug. I'm not sure if the computer is no good now or not, the car still turns over but won't start, but that is most likely caused by the 20 some wires that are no longer connected...
The security light is not on or flashing when trying to start, i have had issues with the security in the past so if i can avoid them i will at all cost.

My question is, if in the case i do need a new computer, i get one from the same year range, motor, tranny, etc. will i have issues with my security? Will i need to get the new computer flashed?

My Sunflower is a 2001 2.2 (2200sfi) Automatic.

I was originally going to junk this car due i hadn't felt like fixing it, i bought a Saturn SC1, drove it for 1 month and the motor went... so this is now the cheaper solution (i hope)

Not sure what you mean by "security issue", but u will have to get it flashed i recommend an auto store ( advanced or ur local) and buy it new ( cost me $125 after core). I just replaced my computer ( 96 5spd), and after paying roughly $200 to have it flashed ( yep has to be done) i havent had any issue ( besides maybe a bad cluster)

If you get a used PCM from the yard it will have a different VIN on it. Not a big deal just do a key relearn and it will drive like normal. It might be an issue if you have to get your car smogged (in CA they match the PCM VIN to the frame VIN) and if that is the case HPT will fix it or contact this guy: http://stores.ebay.com/SpareECM/_i.html?_nkw=ls1+engine he can send you a used PCM with your VIN or bench flash your PCM with the new VIN.
