Hello guys, I'm a newbie here and I didn't really know where else to go for help about my car... I have a 2001 cavalier z24 2 door coupe that is a standard.. It has 223500 kms on it and after running the battery down listing to the radio I installed myself the car doesn't start.. I put the key in the ignition and turn it to on and everything's working and the gas gauge turns all the way to full but after a few minutes it falls all the way down to empty.. When I try to start it it will turn over but won't start. I can here the fuel pump priming when I turn the key and all the fuses are good.. I put some gas in it to and still nothing... Can someone please help me
Is the theft light in the dash on?

umm. it will be red and say "theft" it should come on with the rest of your lights when you turn the key on then go off with them.. if it stays on it means its activated and you need to do the re learn procedure (its simple just turn the key to the run position and leave it for 10+ minutes and dont touch anything electronic in the car or even open the doors. after said 10+ minutes is over the light should blink then go off, then turn key and start.

Will it relearn the codes with the factory radio not installed or is that required?
Also any ideas if the light isn't on?
The radio has nothing to do with security on our cars. And... not really. Have you checked for spark/fuel??
