i have a quad 4 z 24 and the water pump is leaking ...is it possible for it to leak in through the timing cover and into the oil?

I dont know for sure but I dont think it will leak into the oil. I may be wrong though. It is a pain to change though.

if you truely have a Quad4 2.3, that would mean its a 95 and they arent that bad to change. If youre using quad4 as a general term for 96-newer 2.4L then its much different.

95- remove exhaust manifold, remove coolant pipe, remove water pump
96-02- remove balancer, remover timing cover, remove timing chain, remove manifold, remove coolant pipe, remove water pump

hey dude if your water pump is leaking thats all it does is leak.... just a reminder needs replacing will not leak in oil or anything just on the ground
just remember to check your coolant.. mines been leaking forever im just putting off changing the dam thing
