Are these numbers low compression for ecotec?

I recently changed my oil and noticed what looked to be some coolant in the oil. it wasn't a chocolate milky look, but the last of the oil was orangish and bubbly. Looked like maybe dexcool. I'm not sure. Anyways I did a compression test on it today and got 130 135 127 136. Now they are all within 10% of each other, but after browsing it looks like most people are much higher than that. My car is a 2005 2.2 ecotec with 109k.

Also on a completely different note, I came out to the car after running some errands and there was a puddle of coolant in my driveway. I got underneath and it looked like it was coming from the water pump. I checked all hoses and clamps and everything looked good. I'm thinking the pump is about to s**t the bed. Anyone else think any different.

seems a little low across the board to me...i thought we were supposed to be around 150-170. but yours are all at least very consistent with eachother.
my compression scans about 2 or 3 months ago showed 200, 200, 200, 210 (very consistently). I didnt do a wet test, just a couple dry tests.

as for the coolant..i couldnt tell you. luckily i havent had to mess with my water pump yet..but at 200k im sure its not too far off.

Dont know my numbers off hand but if anything it could be your head gasket. Pretty simple fix.

yea thats why i did the compression test to see if it was the head gasket. I'm not going to change it though since the numbers were all within 10% of each other. I already have the water pump so I'll change that next weekend.

I would say you are a little low below is what I found on a repair site:

Engine cranking compression pressure - 185-225 psi

I would do a leak down test and or a wet test before pulling the head.

Definitely a little low, it could be worn out rings with 109k, letting gas into the oil over time. Good luck with the water pump, it's definitely something I'm not looking forward to either. Just last year I did the water pump on my 2200. Took me about 2 hours since it was cold and I didn't even have to go under the car, SUPER easy...

3 extensions and 2 universals?

I kid, but yeah I never really looked hard at it, just guessing because of it's location.

Lol

Ya it's a tool that holds the sprocket and pump, barely have to take off the chain. This pump has a access cover with 4 bolts.

Thanks for the replies. I still haven't changed the water pump, because so far I haven't had another problem like I did the other day. I'll keep the new one for about another week and if it does it again i'll change it. I would have already done it but I just don't feel like spending 30 bucks on a tool i'll use once in my life. And after puling that access cover off, I don't think it'll be easy to do without it. I'd rather spend the extra 30 bucks if I end up doing it just so I don't drop the gear into the block.
