Well I'm having this weird temperamental impossible problem with my cav. It bucks in any gear usually around 2.5k rpm. It feels like its starving for gas. Also it likes to idle around 1.5-2k rpm when the bucking starts. If I'm driving and push in the clutch it will sometimes stay at 2k and the shift up light will come on. Restarting the car fixes the high idle until I drive again. I've replaced the fuel filter spark plugs wire set throttle position sensor map sensor crank sensor and ignition coils. Also ran sea foam through the intake. So far nothings worked. The car will run for days without an issue then start bucking again. If I floor the gas it won't buck at all and I've had the gas pressure checked and it came back fine. I'm at my Witt's end here. Anyone know of something that would cause this to happen?
Also my temp gauge sometimes sticks and the only way to get it back to.normal is to turn the car to on and then off a bunch of times until it.levels out. Maybe unrelated but worth mentioning. Car has never overheat.
Please help before the cav ends up in the junkyard.

Sorry for any typos. On my phone.
Vacuum leak.
Have a nice day.
The stepper motors in the gauge cluster are faulty from the factory. I had the same problem with my speedometer needle and there are updated motors for sale online. You gotta replace them to fix the problem. I did it in mine and no problems since. There are videos on YouTube that show you how to fix them. Look up GM stepper motor replacement and you should be good.
Fellow Jordan - just picked up a can of Carb cleaner after watching a video online. Checking vacuum tomorrow.
Brian- thanks for the info. Ill look into that.
Ill update if its a vacuum leak and where.

I bought my stepper motors on ebay, they don't cost a lot and the set that I purchased came with 10 replacement light bulbs for the cluster.
I checked vacuum and all came back OK. I had a cel come on so I bought a scan tool and it came back p0122 throttle/ pedal position sensor a circuit low input. I watched the tps% on the tool and saw it get jumpy around 2k rpm. I just changed the Tps a few days ago when this started. Maybe bad wiring? Bad Ecu? Thoughts?
Thanks
