Hey everyone. Have a problem with a 2002 Sunfire 4 door. When I bought the car a few weeks ago everything worked fine except the reverse lights, I pulled out the reverse light switch and played with it and it has worked ever since. Now the problem I have is, after getting the car road legal whenever I would turn on my left turn signal sometimes it would work normally and other times it would click and blink real fast inside the car. I figured this to be a bulb going or gone. I checked around the car and found the rear drivers side turn signal to be not working. I replaced the bulb and lo and behold it still didn't work. I went out and bought a test light and tested it out that night, turns out I didn't need the test light for that because the parking lights work(same bulb as the blinker). So there is power going back there but no flasher. The front signal works on the drivers side and both signals work on passenger side. Although the front blinks real fast as if I have a bad bulb. What could cause one blinker to not work? I was told flasher relay but I don't think that sounds right, as I would think if the flasher relay was gone then none would work? Any suggestions?
Thanks
i would have to say try replacing your multi-function switch when i got my car i thought my headlights were shot id only get low beam and no high beam so i ended up replacing that and had full functionality again
Where abouts would this switch be? Is it easy access? I am pretty handy with most things regarding cars in general but I get lost when it comes to electric systems.
It's the lever on your left hand side of the steering wheel its what you use to turn on blinkers and lights but you gotta pull the shrouding around the steering wheel off and the steering wheel and disconnect your airbag... It's not to hard just will take a little time
