2.2 OHV Overheating after radiator swap
Thursday, May 23, 2013 7:56 PM
Hey guys I have an interesting problem. The radiator in my 00 2.2 OHV auto cav went out. I switched it out and now it over heats once it gets up to running temp.I'm not sure if the antifreeze is flowing through the motor. I can squeeze the hose going into the motor from the radiator and I don't feel any fluid flowing. Could my water pump have gone out or is this thing just air locked?

Thanks for the help.

Could be air in the system, some cars just don't want to let it out sometimes.

My problem was air in the system. I had to bleed the system for 6-7 mins. Good to go.

jack up the right side of the car as far as possiable and run the car for about 20 min with the overflow cap off and grabbing the upper radiator hose and squeezing it a few times while it running.... should burp out all the air
