I have a 04 sunfire I was wondering what I should all change while I'm in their and what special tools that I mihht need to successfully complete the install last year I did the whole set up on my 98z24 which was pretty easy minus putting the water pump in.

ft/lbs and In/lbs torque wrench, a socket for the tensioner (I forget what size it is but I use an 1-1/8 or 1-1/4 IIRC)and threadlocker. Other than that basic hand tools work well.

Another good question for other readers would at what point do you change the timing chain for good preventive measure. For example , my engine has 220,000km or 132,000 miles on it .?
