My rear left turn signal is not working on my 04 Cavalier. My front left one is working. I checked the bulb and it looked ok. I even brought a headlight switch thinking that might be the problem but it turned out it wasn't. I wouldn't think it a fuse because my right turn signal is working fine? Am I missing someone simple here or could be a wiring problem?

Did you try changing the bulb even though it looked ok? Maybe use the bulb from the other side just to be sure.

Won't hurt to try.

It's not a fuse. The rear lights are fed off the turn signal switch, there's a circuit in there that combines the brake lights with the flasher... and feeds to the rear lights. There should be a yellow wire that goes from the top of the combination switch, down to the C200 connector behind the carpet on the driver's side A-pillar... then into the body harness, straight back to the left rear corner.
Does it light up with the brakes on?
How about with the hazard lights?
No it doesn't light up when I break. Also when I put my hazards on just my rear right taillight blinks.

May be a bad wire somewhere
Update: it was just a bulb. With the necked eye it looked like the bulb was fine but I guess it wasn't. I switched the bulbs like y3ollowcav said and it worked. So I guess I wasted money on that headlight switch my old one wasn't the problem. So anyone need a switch for cheap? lol

Awesome! Glad it was simple. I've gone through the same thing before and I learned then.. eliminate the easiest option(s) first.
