I have a 96 cavalier 2.2 5 spd no mods other then header and exhaust but recently it got flooded to the roof in a storm I replaced oil and plugs and filters ended up having to get a new fuel pump but anyways it will start and run for about 2 seconds then die I dried out all connections and everything anybody got any ideas I have been told I need a new ecm is this my problem thanks in advance
Try doing a passlock relearn.
On the inside my car looks like a fighter jet.
I tried several times it was submerged for about 4 hours a couple people told me it fried the ecm I heard if I got a different ecm and ignition lock cylinder and key out of the same year car with the same trans and motor it would fix it I was wondering if this is true any one know?
Probably need someone that is more familiar with the passlock system.
