1995 sunfire 2.2 auto this issue started occasionally but now the car is not driveable when started cold it runs great but after a warm start when i step on the gas its like it chokes
if i get off the gas quick enough it will go back to idle
if i pump the gas it will rev then come out of it some but it will have very low power and random backfires for a while then it will run great again

this car has had all of this done within 5000 miles
new piston rings
new crank and bearings
new starter
junkyard alternator (tested by autozone)
new fuel filter
straight pipe replaced cat
new muffler
new plugs and wires


from reading other posts here i suspect it may be related to the ICM or coil packs but i would like more input

also if i can get it to go that far it will only rev to about 4000 then it bounces to 3500 and back

Update: after further investigation i found the issue was with no compression in the #4 cylinder and found a chunk of the valve missing this would appear to be my issue
