My 97 cavalier's air bag light used to blink a few times when I start it and then turn off.
Then for a few months it would stay on sometimes, and sometimes it would cut off.
But now it blinks a few times when I start it and it stays on.
What could it be? What should I do or check for?
Yesterday it was off again, everything normal.
Then today it was back on again.
Air bag module is under the passenger seat carpet I think. Might have gotten wet.
On the inside my car looks like a fighter jet.
I haven't pulled the carpet yet. Maybe tomorrow or real soon I'll get it checked for water, but the floor seems dry. It has been staying on now the past few days, except one day during a storm the light was off.
Another thread mentioned air bag codes, is this something Advance Auto or Autozone can scan for me?
Or do I have to look for a certain shop?
Will the codes for the airbag tell me what I need to replace?
Do airbag codes come out of the scan connector under my dash? Because that is the only connector that I know of.
The air bag light has been staying on.
Today a shop read the codes with a scanner and said I have a code
1061 - Lamp circuit failure
What do I do? Please help
The code is B1061 - Lamp circuit failure
and how do you access the air bag module?
please help
My air bag light has been on in my 2004 cavy for over 2 years now ,Ijust put a piece of black electrical tape over it so I dont even notice its there anymore!
BLACKMANTIS
but then I'm worried it might not pass inspection
it still stays on sometimes
does anyone know what to do?
