I have this 1997 Cavalier Base 2.4. It's been sitting for quite some months, 8 or 9, and I don't know when this happened.
This bar (pics below) is somehow disconnected. It looks like it connects the steering to the K Frame (I think that's what it's called.) At the front of the bar there is a bent fork. I can't find what it would be connected to.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Pics:
Above view from front of car. Bar is circled.
Above view, closer. Arrow is pointing to front of car.
Even closer, facing front of car.
Front of bar, facing toward the rear of the car. The bent fork.
Closer view of the fork.
That fork is suppose to be flat with the bar. No bends at all, Yours is bent 90 degree down, then 90 degree forward on the one fork. and 180 degree back on the other. It is suppose to just bolt right up into the stub frame. Slightly right under the rad support.
I figured that much. What's the part called and I'm guessing it's a junkyard part, right?
Thanks for the help.
