2.2 Ecotec burns oil at WOT and oil turns black immediately after change

I live in the Winston Salem area of NC. I have been the second owner of my 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier since March (its my DD) and cannot correct my oil burning issue. My engine burns oil above 3000rpm or if I'm engine braking downhill for an extended period of time (even in 5th gear). When I got the car it was pushing oil through the breather down to the throttle body. I corrected that problem by cleaning the port in the head and intake gasket it even solved my oil burning temporarily but it came back two weeks later.

Oil usually gets black fairly quick.

On the inside my car looks like a fighter jet.

Are you using synthetic? If you are, try 10w-30 synthetic. It seemed to slow my same leak down for me. People get less of a smoke screen when i hit the gas after engine braking down hills.
Do you find your car backfires a lot?

You really want to do something before you destroy your cat with oil.

With the flowmaster 60 there a little bit of a popping here and there when decelerating or tipping into the throttle slowly at low speeds. And I actually just got a P0420 two days ago. I've also ran a compression check on it after the mechanic I work with argued my rings were bad, it showed about 210psi on all cylinders. What are the odds the oil control rings are bad and the compression rings are good?

Is there a pile of oil in your intake pipe right before the throttle body?
