So, I just bought a high mile 89 z24 convertible. Overall for it's age it runs decent. My only issue is that the oil guage bounces everywhere at a stop and after the car has run awhile. Accelerates a little rough but great afterwards. There isnt any engine knock or abnormal noise. Ive done some poking around and read it could anything from a pressure sensor, to an oil pump to rod bearings. If rod bearings, are they possible to be switched out from the oil pan access on this particular engine? Seeing if its worth to keep the car or if more trouble than worth. Thanks
