So my daughter is 4 hours away at college and has a coolant leak: she sees coolant dripping. She sees it under the motor mount by the coolant res, behind of the water pump.
Not the cts, either.
Need some enthusiast help, some possible/usual problem areas, stuff like that.
She sent some pics to help out, but I am not familiar with the layout.

Looks like the water pump blowing back due to air movement and spinning action. OR heater hoses?
There is a hose coming out of the firewall that drops down. It comes from the heater core. If it is the culprit then its the heater core. I know this is a late response but i hope it helps.

Should be helpful for those who are having this issue. Same thing happened to my buddy's Sunfire.
