Removing Radiator

To some this might be obvious... Do I need to remove the AC Condenser in order to remove the radiator??

Any other tips I might need to know??

P.S. Anyone got a decent hood for sale???

Hi;

I have removed my radiator from my 2000 2.2 Sunfire. I also have A/C and I DID NOT have to remove the condenser. Just undo all the bolts that are on the condenser and you will get it out. Be careful that you do not puncture the fins on both units and you will have to wiggle it out.

Good luck,

Ken

There are 2 ways to remove the rad... the factory way (where you remove the a/c cond. and an alternative way). The Chilton's manual describes both ways in detail. The alternative way is a little more extensive with what you have to do but you bypass removing the condenser.

I've read both procedures and either way, it doesn't look fun.

Good luck! <br>

I got mine out without taking out the condenser, but it was tricky... It was even more tricky getting it back in once it was fixed....

Sorry to bump an old thread, but im having troble's figuring out how to take my Rad. out also. There is a Screw Right near the Pass. Headlight, Holding the Rad, And Condinser together. The screw look's like it's too long to back-out, That it'll hit the Rad.
