back to this $@%# again! ignition trouble still

ok first of all i posted about this a long time ago about my ignition and to make a long story short, my car sit under 2 feet of snow for a week started it, it cut out, check engine light came on the works and ever since i fixed it (or so i thought) it cuts out pretty bad when i mash the gas, but not while i'm just "cruzin".

i changed the spark plugs, gaped them, got new spark plug boots, taped up the splice for my a/f gauge on the o2 sensor wire tighter than a nuns you know what thinking it could be grounding out still done it so. . . .

Finally i took it to autozone and found out that cylinder 1was missing out. he cleared it out and ever since that the check engine light hasn't came back on but it still misses out like jenna jameson chokin on a you know what so this is my last and final resort of what i think it could be:

1) the coil(s)

2) the computer under the head

gimme some input guys i'd appreciate it greatly-----------------uuuuuuric

so cylinder 1 is missing?

are you sure it isnt fuel related? maybe an injector or something.

there is no computer under the head, run some injector cleaner through some strong @!#$, run some seafoam through it, if still bad you may need a new injector, or if that aint it you have some internal issues

Coil housing.

And if you wanted to check it, just check the resistance of each terminal.

hey rodimus prime, ever looked under a 2.4 cover there is a comp or sorry "control module" that runs the ignition and i already ran 2 bottles of injector cleaner through it.

so tom you think its the coil how you go about testing it?

is the injectors hard to change and if i do what kind should i get.

i have a 2002 cavy with the 2200 and the wires going to the ign module shorted out on the module bracket. I had a miss from hell and new plugs and wires and coils did not help . went to the Chevy dealer and this is what they said "scp diag p0300 dtc and running condition due to shorted ckt 406. the wire was shorted at ign module bracket. cars runs like new again.

I am having the same problems with my car. My issue is that when it is below 35 degrees farenheit outside...the car will not start. Above that, it starts like a racehorse.
It's been traced back to the Ignition coils/Ignition control module.
On my 94 pontiac sunbird they come as one unit. So I've got to spend 500 dollars to replace the coilpack/module all in one.
