Last night I rolled down my window to talk to a friend and it wouldnt roll back up. I was just wondering what happened because It rolls down perfectly. Can anyone give me some help here as to how to fix it?
Is there any fuses on the pannel or in the actuall switch box for the windows that controls the drivers window up switch? Or do I just have a bad switch box? Because the a similar thing happened to my GFs cav and she replaced the whole switch box (110$) I was wondering if that was 100% nessesary.

Is the window trying to make an effort to go up or is it just not moving. your window motor might be out.

wooo 110 dollars?? that sucks. well, you can always pull fuses and check them with a multimeter... if resistance is close to zero, fuse is good. if not, replace it. You'll probably want to look in the underdash fuse box.

here is a better way to check with a multi-meter or even better a test light. ground the com side and put the red volts lead on the fuse in the panel on both metal tabs. If you have power on one tab and not the other your fuse is blown. If you have power on both sides your fuse is good. Works the same with a test light only faster. I personaly never trust OHMs because the circuit is not loaded, volts is good but amp probing is even better.

The power windows are typically powered through a single fuse or circuit breaker. If the driver's side window will go down but not up and the passenger's side window operates normally, then the problem is probably the switch, itself.

yep the switch just reverses the polarity
see if you can jump the connector to make the window go up

Tried to jump the connector, but failed. Im sure its because there are like 6 wires and I didnt do the right ones. I am temporarily using my brother switch and it works just fine, That was probably the easier way to find out if it was the switch, haha. Thanks a lot for your help guys!
