About 3 months ago my car started have really high revs before the shift. No matter how lightly i pushed the gas peddle, it shifted at about 4-5k revs. The engine light came on and it read a bad MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) and TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) sensors. I changed both of them and the light went off but the revs were still moderately high, about 3-4k. 2 weeks ago the light came on again but this time it read a bad CTS (Coolant Temperature Sensor). Changed that and had the computer reset. Now the light is back on and reading a bad MAP sensor. I new it couldnt be the brand-new sensor so i replaced the hose going from the sensor to the manifold and still the same read out. I have a B&M shiftplus but that only makes the shifts more firm. It doesnt, or is not supposed to, make it shift at higher revs. Please help. Thanks
Also the shiftplus was installed at least 6 months before the problem started.
clear you codes, turn the shift plus off for awhile and see what happens. the unit increases line pressure in the transmission to make a firmer shift.
it doesn't shift out of first until 3 or 4 grand? Is your tranny slipping?
what exactly is slipping??
Just took off the shiftplus but still no change
