Help
My car is stranded at work the theft systems light is on and i cant hear the fuel pump run it wont start is there any way to bypass this or how do i fix this
by the way the car is a 1996 cavalier 2.2 auto
just a tidbit, there is a failsafe theftlock bypass for the theft system...
Place the key in the ignition... instructions are to leave it in the on position for 600 secs(10Mins)
if you want to do it for 15 mins, be my guest.
do not do anything with the car for the full time, (no radio play, no disconnecting the battery)
after the 10 or 15 mins has passed, turn the key to the off position and then try to start the car...
it does have something to do with wrong codes being sent to your PCM shutting off your fuel pump and injectors, if you feel like having it diagnosed by a dealer, im sure they'd love to hear about this one...
Did either of you manage to look at the date on this post...
