the reason why you shouldnt change the fuel filter for the first time on a high milegae car because it ,may wreck the pump.
I know it has to do with pressure and the fuel pump, but forgot how to explain it.

I've never heard that one. I don't see how the filter would effect the pump. AFter all it is after the pump and it will not change pressure.

... And your pump/tank/filter anything shouldnt have pressure... Our cars dont have pressurized gas system. Thats why the fuel cap clicks when you put it on.

You should change the filter because it will make your fuel pump work a little easier. The pump will last longer with regular filter changes. Also fuel your car when it gets to 1/4 tank. The fuel helps cool the pump and running the car low on fuel makes the pump run hotter.

no but they do have vaccum, and the tanks do natural build pressure that is what the Evap system is for. I all so think he was talking about fuel pressure which is around 45-50 psi. But changing the filter will not hurt your pump, it will only effect flow. Still it will not hurt your pump.

I don't know what drugs your smokin, but pass them on man, don't hog them all...
The system is pressurized, which is why if your gas cap is bad or loose, you get an EVAP code, because the EVAP system doesn't detect positive pressure in the gas tank.
The fuel system itself is also under pressure, I dare you to go take off one of your fuel lines from the rail and not get gas sprayed all over the place.
There is no reason not to change a fuel filter on a high mileage engine, it makes the pump work less hard because the filter is clean and clear.

Your supposed to turn the cap till it clicks 3 times to ensure that it is properly seated and the evap system is then sealed tightly....

Fuel pressure is from the fuel pump to the injectors...the gas cap has nothing to do with fuel pressure but it is related to the evap system and its pressures.
A fuel filter that is completly restricted will minimize fuel pressure by a few pounds and pump will be working its a$$ off....it will also minimize fuel flow to the engine
