Hello
Have a power window motor that no longer works. (checked it with a volt meter)
Trying to remove it so I can replace it
It is attached to a guide that attaches to the wondow.
Do I remove the motor with the guide attached.
what's the procedure. Not much room to work in there.
any recommendations?
Walt
It depends on what kind of car you are referring to...
If its that sunfire you mention in your profile, I would do a search... This has been typed up a few times.

if you are refering to our cars then the motor is attached to that guide
(A.K.A window regulator) you have to remove the whole regulator asm. drill out the rivets that hold the motor to the regulator and install the new one........make sure that if the regulator is spring loaded you use something like vise grips to hold it in place....because once you take the motor out the regulator with unwind like a mofo...
