So I'm on my way home from work, and the check engine light comes on. Couple questions. I've got a WAI, and a flowmaster on the end of the stock pipes Other than that, no engine mods. What kind of codes cause the light to come on, and is there anywhere like autozone or advance that can get the codes out of the OBD II for free. I've got the stock intake, and may have to put it back on for warranty work, so I'd like to get the codes first. I don't think my aftermarket warranty will fly with the intake on there. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Autozone will pull the codes for you. depending on what scanner they have, they may not be able to pull mfg codes.

It is possible that it could be a vacume leak. Its really a guessing game, but as soon as you find out what code, go to "CEL codes" post in this fourm. It should tell you there. Its always a guessing game when it comes to diagnostics for a car.
Have fun = )

BLAH!!
I'm thinking it's a rich condition, but It's good to know that autozone can pull the codes. Thanks. Would a rich conditon set the light? How can I find a vacuum leak if that is what it is. There is a small gap where i have the IAT sensor drilled into the intake. Maybe that is it. Will a WAI void a warranty, or does it fall under the magnusson rule?

Update, Autozone guy says emissions leak. Something about the gas cap maybe. He reset the computer and told me to drive around a few days and see if it comes back. Any other thoughts. Unfortunately, I didn't get the actual code. What else might trip an emissions leak code?

probably a loose or faulty gas cap...if it comes back again, try replacing the gas cap..go from there..start out small
i know the computer will show a lean condition because i had one, not sure about a rich condition though, i wouldnt guess so because it goes to rich at WOT anyways and rich wouldnt really damage the engine.
Can Lean result from too much air from a WAI if I din't reset the computer?

not a chance. only way the car will ever run lean is if you had a fuel problem.
