*Drl's wont turn off?*
Thursday, April 28, 2005 11:01 AM
I have a 96 z24 and when i put the e brake up the DRL lights wont go off when the car is running. I thought they went off when the e brake is up a little?

is that normal? how much is a new relay? is it the one under the drivers side headlight/ near it? Is there a switch near the e brake lever? i think i seen something down there. wonder if i tap on it if that would help? lol

could it be something else? . i searched a little, but everyone was having burnt out headlight bulb issues.

thanks in advance.

Is the "BRAKE" light showing when your E-brake is pulled?

not sure if the brake light is showing. I blacked out a few lights when i had my dash apart years ago.

what if that light is showing? what should i replace.

thanks

If you are trying to shut off your DRLs using your parking brake isnt the greateast way to do it. Having it up a few clicks DOES make you DRLs shut off, but then your brake light is on, you hear the wonderful dinging, and they come back on after like 30 seconds anyways.

There are a lot of threads how to disable your DRLs, just do a search.
