Cruse control stopped working
Monday, May 02, 2005 11:48 AM
So my cruise just stopped working out of the blue.

Anyways how do I begin troubleshooting this thing? The fuse in the dash is OK, where do I look now?

Thanks

make sure that your brake pedal switch is still good......your brake lights may come on, but doesn't mean that the rest of the switch is still good...the cruise needs to see the voltage at the switch. ( ( brake circuit is orange (hot) and white or light blue (brake light wire) and the cruise circuit is pink (ign.) and brown (feed to cruise mod.))

And just place a continuity tester across the clutch switch?

use a DMM and check both switches....the clutch switch should "cut" the ground signal when depressed, and the brake pedal should send 12V through the switch when depressed.....((at least I think....it's been a while since I have had to repair one )) If I am wrong....someone please help this poor boy!!! LOL
