Idles rough when cold...

Hi,

Brand new 04 Cavalier 10,000 miles, until it hit the first big white mark or so on the temp gauge it will idle slighty rough, not bad but still pretty noticeable. When it heats up its fine.

See it has a warranty till 36k, problem is I have to leave it there overnight, and two they wont give a loaner car, so kind of up a creek without a paddle type of thing.

Also is tire balancing covered under warranty, viberation above 75mph with it.

Was really looking forward to having a GM, hoping for no car problems but guess not, really hope nothing else goes wrong.

any ideas

hey man.....new cars always have there problems........no matter what company.....wheel balance under waranty.....i am not sure how GM works there whole warranty dept. i work for toyota and havn;t balanced tires under waranty once.....but eh.....GM always has ways of surprising everyone right....just check and make sure there is no dirt or mud etc inside ur rims......we deal with that every day at my work....and we usually end up selling the customer a balance anyways because it doesn;t pay a tech anything to clean rims.....as for the hesitation could be many things......i say if shes under waranty let GM deal with it.....could be SOO many things.....and first thing they will do is hook it up to the scan tool......but DO NOT tell them u have been messin around with it.....and don;t be bitchy to the advisors....they are the key to getting @!#$ covered....if they don;t like u they wont help u! my two cents ttyl!
