I have a bit of oil around my spark plugs. I did a search and came to the conclusion that its my valve cover gasket. When I went to the local auto shop. They didn't know which gasket it was. Does anyone know the exact name that the gasket might be called. The guy asked my something about if it was the gasket on the intake or exhuast side.
FRIENDS DONT LET FRIENDS DRIVE IMPORTS!!
your car has overhead cams so when he said intake or exhaust side im assuming hes talking about the cam covers (underneath the cover that says "2.4L Twin cam")
have you taken off the cover on top? do that and see if oil is leaking from the cam area or another area...
lets pray its not from the cams thats not a fun job..

I have a 2001 2.2L and I was having the exact same issue. I purchased a valve cover gasket from a local auto parts store (about $14, I think), installed it, and it's worked great. I also used this black gasket material from a squeeze-tube for extra insurance. It's not hard to install (on the 2.2L anyway), just involves removing the air intake and some misc. hardware in the area.
