belts
check hoses
check brakes
spark plugs @ 50K
lube the chassis every 3-5000k (w/oil change)

it's all in your book that came with the car, get a Haynes or Chilton's manual for more.

You might want to start thinking about changing the transmission fluid about now.

You have 60k and have the original air and fuel filter, your not to bright at all.

They should both be changed every 30k

Completely uncalled for.

Like everyone else is saying, change all your fluids (including brake fluid). Inspect your brakes. Inspect your tires (they should be about gone now). Change all your filters (transmission, fuel, air, etc).

Correct me if I'm wronng here, but I believe the spark plugs on an 01 Cav are 100,000 mile plugs. Wouldn't hurt to pull em out and have a look, but they shouldn't need to be replaced just yet.

Your owners manual should have a maintenance schedule towards the back. There are little things that needed to be done long ago, but at 60k they've added up. Mostly it is fluid, belt, and filter checks and changes, though.

A chassis lube basically keeps all the joints and hinges functioning smoothly. It's not a critical thing, but it does keep things from getting annoying squeaks (and over a longer period, wear, and eventually damage).

"Chassis" is basically the body and frame of a car. For instance "a rolling chassis" refers to a complete car without engine or transmission. It's probably easiest to take it into a shop to have the chassis lube done- it's relatively cheap and would take much less time than trying to do it yourself.

If I'm wrong, please feel free to educate me.

If you have a Wal mart near you they "lube" you car or they should if you get thier top oil change package.. Other than that its actually grase joints they "lube". id check your brakes!!! not sure if anyone said that yet them bad mamas ashould be about gone now with 60K on it.. For me I also swap all my fuses (dont ask) every 20K in the fuse box that is.. I just don;'t like old parts.. Ive changed out alternators before because it wasn;t "pretty" enough lol
Go to a local place and just ask for a tune up (they may have different types, as they dow here I live) Me personally I'd be weary of the transmission fluid change and such I did that at 68K on my first J and literally 3 days later my trans blew.. May have just been a quirk but I've heard other stories about stuff happening after they change the trans filters

Also check your engine mounts i.e. rev the engine from the engine bay see how much roll is in it.. bad mounts=lost power! my Org. mounts went out @ roughly 30,000 miles on all 3 of my J's I've had esp. the bottom one!

Hope this helps!

As pretty much everyone has stated... air, fuel filters... brakes... chassis lube (any moving parts.. control arm bushings, ball joints, etc). Make sure they use a white lithium grease, or it'll start squeaking even if it didn't before!!

Lube the e-brake cables.. oil the hinges.. white lithium grease on the rubber door/trunk moldings... spray some WD-40 in the door locks and mechanisms...

Check for burnt out lightbulbs?
