anyone know why my fan is always running?
how can i fix it?
IS you CEL on ??? if so you system is running in limp mod. You need to fix what ever is causing tbhe CEL to come on. You also can try swapping the abs relay with the Fan relay under the hood (please don't drive it this way), this will see if the relay has a terminal fried togather inside. You also have a fan control switch its anotehr temp sensor that runs the fan, this could have gone bad.
Those are just some suggestions.

Hit 200 NA it broke once, Hit 213 it broke again,
Hitting 300 NA is further away than I thought.
Your underhood fan I assume your talking about.
A faulty ECT sensor wil cause this. For one the fan comes one when certain conditions are met, for one it wont come on at speeds above 60mph, because the fan has enough power to move on its own then from the wind, secondly the car must be at or slighty above operating temperature.
If your ECT is saying the car is say 210 all the time it will always have the fan on trying to keep it cool, even though it doesnt need it.
Do you have a multimeter, if so you can test the sensors voltage and see if it bad assumeing you have a way of finding out what voltage should be when the car is at a certain temp.

My fan did this last summer, it would stay on evan after turning the car off. It started doing this around the same time my water pump started taking a crap. Is there anyway these could be related? By the way i never tok the time to trouble shoot mine, I wired it to a switch.

mine turns off when i turn the car off... it just stays on whenever the car is on

A/C is not turned on but it DOES have an aftermarket A/C and ive had problems with it before ( the first 6 months of 1996 the Z24 did not come with A/C - i have one of those cars)
im thinking the A/C is the problem.. i never use it anyways and the previous owner is the one who had it put on.. im just gonna have it removed
