Hey guys...I just finished a good sized tune up on my car(air filter, spark plugs,oil change cleaned the throttle body...changed the muffler) ....Ive had the car a week (96 Auto Z-24) it idles at 700-750 when it warms up ...first ..is this normal ....second if you sit in the car it shakes a little bit as if its struggling ....very slight movement....if you listen to the exhaust (its a magnaflow) it makes like its idling a bit off..in reality the idle isnčt really moving...so What could my minor shakes be....Im thinking egr or iac....By the way when driving everything is fine(acceleration, gear changing etc...)
Lots of thing can cause a rough idle, EGR, IAC like you said, also a vacuum leak. However if you have a vacuum leam you would most likely get a code for the engine running to lean, and STFT would be above 2% but you would need a code reader to see that.
