ok here is the deal. i have a 98 sunfire GT. the ABS and the brake light both stay on constantly. brakes were checked and they are good. i was told that the ABS system is ran off of two little motors inside of it and one of the motors is bad on my car. i was told that it was an $1800 dealership part. well i went to a salvage yard and found the whole ABS unit on a 97 sunfire. so i bought it for $20. if i switch these two units out...will the one off the 97 work and be compatible with my car? any adivce, suggestions and opinions or comments are welcome
need to figure something out before my whole abs system goes out on me
thanks in advance

Adam for $20, if you know which side is bad, I'd give it a shot.
AS FAR AS I KNOW (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong at all people) the 95-99 Sunfires and Cavaliers are pretty similar, so I'd guess that it would work.
I'd also suggest picking up an auto repair manual for your car, Chilton's or Haynes....
If you're low on cash, someone posted a link on here for access to the same kins of info online at the GM tech site....

Good luck
I know it's JUST a Cavalier, and I'm sorry if I hurt your ego.
its the exact same to the "T" long as the donor car has the "ETS"
