What is the correct oil pressure for a 2.4L? Mine is usually idling around 42psi but if I rev very quickly, it sometimes jumps right off the gauge past 100PSI, but then settles back to around 80 psi, then it settles again and stays at 60, if I give it quick stabs of the acc. then it goes back eventually at 42 PSI.
Is this normal?

I was told around 40PSI was normal for idle, I am just concerned about the fact it goes right off the gauge past 100PSI.
Ruen, yea 25 at idle seems low.
