Can i bypass a injector wire?
Sunday, May 15, 2005 5:23 PM
i posted before about a CEL problem, but now i think i found the problem. i bought a injector/wire tester, all the injectors seem fine when i tested them, but i found that one injector is not working and the problem is the harness, its cylinder number 3, there is no output on that wire (Pink).... i found the pink wire at the computer, cut it and attached my tester to it (straight from the computer) and to the other wire on the injector harness, it worked, my tester showed there was output (light blinking when i crank). my question is, can i run a new wire from the computer to the harness just for that one injector? or do those wires go somewhere else before the harness? Ex: computer to another computer to injector harness? OR is it Computer straight to injector harness? sorry that sound sort of confusing, but it was the best way i could explain it.

thanks in advance

If you wanted my best advice, the wire would more than likely go to just the computer. I dont think it would need to connect to anything else.

looking at my '93/4 diagram, agree with Rob S

My dia shows the 15amp ECM fuse supplying the ECM and 1-4 or 6 injectors in parallel, normal wiring and nothing but the injectors in the circuit.
