Reprogramming 96 Sunfire Remotes

Ok, here's what happened, me and my dad took out the factory radio and installed a CD player. He disconnected the battery to be safe. After the install, my keyless entry remotes no longer work. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but there were two wires left over in back of the radio, pink, which the diagram said was the power antenna (don't have one) and brown, which the diagram said wasn't used. The diagram was from http://www.installdr.com

I've tried the resychronization methods posted, but none of them work. I looked in my trunk above the wheel wells and didn't see anything. On the driver side there was some rubber ball looking thing, pressing it did nothing.

If anyone has any ideas, or knows if one of the wires that was left over needs to be connected to something (battery power?) I'd appreicate it. We did connect the left over wires to power and tried that, but I didn't think to try and resync the remotes at that time. I don't know if they would have needed it. I also checked the fuses.

in the trunk you are looking for two wires in a connector to short. just keeping searching behind the carpet and follow the instructions in the FAQ

I looked at the FAQ, I seen the image before. But I don't see that little box. I've looked behind the carpet, followed the wires, etc. and see no split off, connectors or anything. Is there a panel I have to remove? Is it possible the previous owner moved it?
