I have MAD carbon buildup in my Throttle body plenum and on top of my Intake manifold.. I took it off so I get my plenum polished.. What is the best way to get this buildup off and out of my TB? Can I run water and a hose through it? And the Intake manifold, I should just plug the runners so I dont get buildup down there when I clean that right? Pics are attached.
Thanks!

Looks as nasty as mine did. I used brake kleen on it. GM Top engine cleaner would eat that stuff right off.
Hey, what should I stick down in the runners to prevent that carbon from falling down there when I clean it off my Intake manifold? I was thinking paper towels.
