is it time for a new engine?

hey just wondering whats up here, i have a 96 z24 that just hit 100000 miles yesterday and i was wondering how much longer i should expect on this engine? i dont beat it and drive it into the ground either.....juss wondering thanks ..

maybe another 150 000miles, maybe more, maybe less. There's no precise mileage where the engine die.

im at a 103.5xx on mine and i have yet to have any problem even with the water pump

wow i replaced my water pump once but tahts it. good im glad to hear it!! i love cavaliers!!!!!!

i have a 92 2.2L at about 176000 K M's and the engine feels like its bogging out when i put it to the floor (to pass other drivers of course)

107k on my cav. replaced water pump at 85k and never had a problem since. still runs strong. i only replaced maintance items

My last car was a 96 3spd auto, and by 106k (i bought it at 77k) i had replaced my wheel cylinders, power steering pump, it needed a new axle, the oil pan was leaking, and then the transmission went. So now I have an 03! :-)
