How do you get them push-in plastic clips out without breaking them? That is what I need to take off to change the dims correct?

dims??? to remove the plastic pins just take a cat-claw or something like it and pull up the center of it then the rest will come right out. don't pull on the large part, that will just break it.

do u have to take that annoying black plastic piece off the change the headlights or do u take the headlights off? if i have to remove that black plastic everytime i want to do something, its going in the garbage! i have no idea how to change the headlights in my 3rd gen Z24, i have a 2gen sunbird...much easier, just pop the hood and take the bulbs out.

Yeah, look at autozone or Canadian Tire for the 'Help' brand.

yeah that cover has to come off first then its just two bolts to remove the entire headlight housing. pretty simple actually.

Hahah man the first time I played with those I broke all 10 of them.....and they aren't cheap to replace. Cost me almost 20 bucks! Lesson learned.

just use side cutter pliers, the ones that you use to cut wires. Just don't press too hard or you'll cut the top right off. then just pry it off. As the other guys have said the black cover has to come off to change the bulb.

or you could get the actual tool for it, panel puller, i have one and it makes it much simplier, but before i had it i used bull nosed pliers, worked perfectly without any damage

I just use a pair of wire cutters.

Mine have been off so many times that they got lost, I only got 2 left... 2 holds the cover on just fine tho
